Austin Tour Company is a locally run, small business with an all female leadership team.
In 2009, our owner, Nicole Jensen, visited Austin and instantly fell in love with the ridiculously kind people, captivating street art, endless delicious food and cocktails, and countless outdoor activities. Between her extensive experience in the hospitality field, her background in logistics and customer relations, along with her informal position as 'the friend who everyone always looked to to plan exciting birthday parties and nights out', starting Austin Tour Company and being able to share her love for this city was not just a perfect fit professionally, but Nicole's destiny.
She launched Austin Tour Company in 2015 and has worked tirelessly ever since to create a brand and a business that highlights Austin in a way that locals want to experience and would be proud of.
Check-out our bios below to learn more about Nicole, and what makes our team, and our city so special.

After graduating with a degree in Marketing and Logistics Management (minor in Art) from Central Michigan University, Nicole moved to New York to work at the Institute for International Research. Early in her career she was propelled into high-level event management, both nationally and internationally. Former speakers include Bill Clinton, Steve Wynn, Arianna Huffington, etc. However, after falling in love with Austin after a visit in 2009, she decided to make the move. Once in Austin, Nicole continued to hone her knowledge in the event planning and hospitality worlds with a Corporate Sales and Event Manager role at Omni Hotels and Resorts, and then again with an Event Manager role with Keller Williams International.
In May of 2015, Nicole decided to strike out on her own and launch Austin Tour Company. She has worked tirelessly to create a brand and a business that highlights Austin in a unique and honest way. Customer service, creativity, partnerships, and giving back to the local community are her top priorities. She is proud to have developed Austin Tour Company from a concept to the brand and company that it is today. Nicole has been Austin Young Chamber Member of the Month twice and has been nominated for the Austin 40 Under 40 Awards the last two years.
Passionate about giving back, Nicole has organized fundraising events for up to 500 people in her local community raising over $100k for non-profits. She has completed over 25 running races including 15 half marathons and two full marathons with the crowning jewel being the 2015 Boston Marathon.
Born in Texas but raised outside of Chicago, Erin describes herself as "Texan by Nature, Midwestern by Nurture". She returned to roots in 2015, moving to Austin after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Rollins College, then living in Spain for 2 years. While in Spain, Erin competed a Fulbright Scholarship, and a Master's Degree in International Development and Cooperation. Her experience in Spain sparked a passion for cross-cultural education through travel and tourism, which she puts to use at Austin Tour Company. In her words, "I love traveling but it's hard to be sure you're getting an authentic experience - I love what I do at ATC because we make sure visitors and locals get to experience the best of the best of Austin and make the most of their time here."
Erin previously worked in Austin's non-profit sector, planning events with guest lists ranging from 5-500. Like many 'Austinites', she's also involved in the 'tech scene' as a Freelance UX Designer. She is active in the Austin community, and serves as the Vice Chair of the Economic Development Committee of the Austin Young Chamber.
While Erin loves downtown Austin, according to her, there's nothing better than escaping to the Hill Country for an afternoon of drinks, music and relaxation at local distilleries and breweries.
Beau is proud to be a Native Texan, he was born in Wimberly and moved to Austin as a very young boy. He spent much of his youth getting to know the city by attending various outings like Blues on the Green and The Kite Festival. After graduating from Taurus Academy on South Lamar Beau joined Austin Tour Company in 2015. His first big project was founding a charity event called "Beau's Home for the Howlidays" in which guests could get their photo taken with Santa Paws and adopt or donate to the Austin Humane Society.
Beau's upbeat attitude and outgoing personality quickly moved him up in the ranks and he is now in charge of Community Outreach and Company Moral.
When he's not at work you can find Beau enjoying a pint at Yard Bar or swimming in any of the many local watering holes. He also loves a good trip to the Hill Country.
Kelly spends her weekdays as a Solutions Consultant, and flexes her minor in Creativity on the weekend leading a variety of ATC Tours. Kelly is always thinking of new ways to engage and excite our customers; we’re so lucky to have her! Kelly’s favorite things about being an ATC guide is the interesting people she meets while running experiences. “Just the other day I was hosting a tour and a man came up to me and asked if I liked my phone case. I going on about how great it was and he said, ‘well good because I’m the VP of Products for that company - feel free to contact me if you want a new case.’ You never know who you’ll run into!”
Kelly’s perfect day in Austin would start with breakfast tacos and end with a movie or sing-a-long at Alamo Drafthouse. She swears by the Migas Taco at Veracruz and lattes from Patika. Like a true local, she’d break up her day with outdoor activities like kayaking Lady Bird Lake, followed by a snow cone from Sno Beach. For further culinary inspiration, check-out some of her mouthwatering photos by following her and her wife's foodie Instagram @GourmetGarbage where they showcase “adult-ish twists on childhood garbage foods.”
Favorite ATC Experience: The Brunch Boat, mostly because of the amazing local bites and beverages we include!”These exclusive, unique partnerships are what makes ATC great and provides an experience that can’t be replicated anywhere else.”
Between finishing her fourth degree and dominating on the dodge ball court, Lauren enjoys working with ATC on the weekends for a nice break from her normal 7-4 job in tech. According to Lauren, a local Austinite, being a guide allows her to see parts of Austin that she hadn't been able to explore, and she loves meeting new people and showing everyone a good time in the city we all love.
When Lauren isn't busy working, her perfect day in Austin would consist of a nice morning bike ride and an afternoon lounging and hanging with friends at Barton Springs or another one of Austin’s nature spots. To top it off, she’d indulge in a Bistec Specialty Plate from El Taquito, while sipping on an Austin Eastciders Blood Orange Cider or a Deep Eddy Cosmo.
Favorite ATC Experience: Deep Eddy Distillery Experience - “It’s the perfect Sunday Funday!”
By week day, Mario works as a Credits and Incentives Tax Consultant. Mario has been with ATC for over two years. He's worked a range of dynamic experiences and events with us including Private Libation Trail Rides, Bat Cruise-Days, SXSW and other festival experiences, and bi-lingual walking tours. Mario likes to push himself in every aspect. If you ask him, he'll tell you that he enjoys reading and writing about Mind, Body and Spirit - and sharing his passion of these topics with others. "I believe that having a good understanding about one’s self and how to increase your awareness on these three topics will help you live a happy and fulfilling life." These qualities shine in him as an ATC guide; his positive energy on-site is infectious.
In his free time, Mario enjoys sipping on Austin Amber by Independence Brewery by the pool, or catching some sun at one of Austin's many outdoor hotspots. Like a true Austinite, he has some great insider information on where to get the best taco in town. "My favorite Austin taco is the 'The Real Deal Holyfield' breakfast taco by Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ - it will change your life." Mario also loves heading to the Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery on Sunday's with ATC. He recommends trying out his personal favorite - Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka on your next visit.
Mario's favorite ATC experience: Private Libation Trail Rides - "Along with the craft cocktails and delicious brews, I enjoy that it is one of our longer tours and I get more time to interact with our guests throughout the various stops.”
